Welcome to Envision Learning Center!

Executive Director's Message

Envision Learning Center is dedicated to providing enrichment and tutoring for children of all academic levels to make certain that they meet and exceed daily academic standards in math, science, reading, and writing.

I am Sheryl McClung Garner, Executive Director of Envision Learning Center. I began my career as an educator studying under Marva Collins in Chicago at the Marva Collins Preparatory School (formerly the Westside Preparatory School) (http://marvacollinspreparatory.com). I taught at Marva Collins Preparatory School for six years and each year my students consistently performed at grade level and above on their achievement tests. I returned to Cincinnati to become Dean of Students and teacher at Christ Emmanuel Christian Academy. Again, my students' performance reflected some of the highest results on standardized achievement tests. Having always seen a need for children to have an "extra push", I opened Envision Learning Center.

Envision Learning Center offers multiple facets of learning. During the school year we work with students from school districts throughout the Greater Cincinnati Area. In the summer we offer a Summer Enrichment Camp where campers explore predetermined areas of study, including the environment and different cultures. In the fall/winter we host Power Saturdays where we have enrichment activities and intensive preparation for standardized tests.

Envision Learning Center is committed to delivering that “extra push” needed for our children. We wish to ensure, not only, that no child is left behind, but also that all children are moving toward a positive future.

Regards,

Sheryl McClung Garner

It was interesting to see Bria's demeanor change during the time we were working on the research paper. Because of the one-on-one attention she got at the learning center, she KNEW she was doing a good job. She was empowered because of that. She had confidence in her abilities, and she began to understand just how capable she is academically. That's 90% of the battle, so I can only tell you to keep on doing what you're doing. Bria continues to amaze herself. Last Friday she got a paper back and responded, "That's the eighth A I've gotten in a row!"
